Pramod Sawant can become the new Chief Minister of Goa
After the funeral of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, the brainchild of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the new Chief Minister in Goa has begun. BJP President Amit Shah, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Goa Assembly Speaker Pramod Sawant, along with BJP MLAs have reached a Panaji hotel for the meeting.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that it is good to get a decision for the Chief Minister's post before returning to Delhi. Gadkari said that CM will be from BJP, we are in touch with allies.

All the 14 MLAs of the Congress met Governor Mridula Sinha in the Raj Bhavan. Coming out of the Raj Bhavan, Leader of Opposition and Congress MLA Chandrakant Kawalkar said that we have met the governor and made a claim to form the government because Congress is the largest party.
